Antonio Conte Chelsea Arsene Wenger Arsenal

Arsenal and Chelsea are both aiming to protect unbeaten runs when they meet in North London, but the Gunners find themselves seven points behind the Blues, who are third in the table.

Arsene Wenger’s side have not lost in eight games in all competitions, but they were left reeling as a last-gasp penalty denied them three points against West Brom at the weekend.

Antonio Conte’s men, on the other hand, have won five of their last six matches and come into the game well rested following a 5-0 win over Stoke City four days ago.

While Arsenal beat Chelsea on penalties in the Community Shield at the beginning of the season, the teams played out a scoreless draw when they met at Stamford Bridge in September.

Such a result may be acceptable for Conte on Wednesday as his side pick up results elsewhere, but there is added pressure on Wenger to get maximum points as the top-four battle intensifies.
