In the 2014 and 2016 editions of the Club World Cup, Real Madrid faced Mexican opposition in the semi-finals of the tournament and were able to dismiss Cruz Azul and Club America, respectively, without breaking much of a sweat.
This year the European champions’ opening game in the competition is against local side Al Jazira and, on paper, this game should be even more straight forward that the previous semi finals.
However, Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane will be wary of his side’s status as overwhelming favourites, as last in last year’s tournament Los Blancos were taken to extra time by Japan’s Kashima Antlers – serving as a warning against complacency this time around.
The Spanish side will need to be professional to book their place in Saturday’s final and dabblebet offer them at just 1/20 (1.05) for the win, while their opponents can be backed at 28/1 (29.00) and the draw is offered at 10/1 (11.00).

Real Madrid warmed up for the Club World Cup by thrashing Sevilla 5-0 in La Liga on Saturday, a game which saw them make a brilliant start by scoring three goals in the opening half an hour.
Los Blancos also came flying out of the blocks in the Champions League last Wednesday when they raced into a 2-0 lead against Borussia Dortmund in a match they ended up winning by a 3-2 scoreline.
In a massively one-sided market against Al Jazira, perhaps the best value to be had is in backing Zidane’s men to make another bright start and be involved in a high scoring first half, with the price of 7/10 (1.70) for over 1.5 goals first half just about big enough for our purposes.
This looks to be the best angle with which to back the European champions at an appealing price given how they have been starting matches recently.
This bet would also have paid out in the semi final against Cruz Azul in 2014, and in the final against Kashima Antlers last year, so with Madrid facing clearly inferior opposition on Wednesday they should be well backed to taken an early lead.
