Edinson Cavani, Harry Maguire and Mason Greenwood have not travelled with the Manchester United squad ahead of their Champions League group stage fixture against PSG on Tuesday evening.
Cavani signed for the Red Devils on deadline day but was not included in United’s matchday squad for their 4-1 victory over Newcastle on Sunday.
The Uruguayan forward has not played a competitive match since turning out for PSG against Borussia Dortmund on 11 March.
According to the Manchester Evening News, Cavani is unlikely to face his former club after not travelling with United to Paris – unless he makes his own way to the French capital.
The 33-year-old only joined up with United for the first time on Sunday, having quarantined for 14 days upon his arrival in the UK.
Alongside Cavani, Maguire and Greenwood were also not on United’s flight to Paris. Maguire had been a doubt for the Red Devil’s trip to Newcastle, but he started and scored at St James’ Park – the perfect response to a difficult couple of months for the United captain.
It will be just the sixth time that Maguire has not been included in United’s matchday squad since his move from Leicester in the summer of 2019.
Greenwood was absent from United’s squad for their victory over the Magpies, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer confirming the teenager was not fit enough to play.
New teenage signing Facundo Pellistri was also not included in the match day squad against Newcastle but has travelled to Paris. The 18-year-old signed for £9m from Penarol on deadline day.
