LIVE: Real Madrid vs Melilla

As expected, Solari has made mass changes to his starting line-up on the back of Saturday’s 2-0 win over Valencia here, including a first start for Isco since Julen Lopetegui was in charge. There is also a first start at this famous ground for Vinicius, who is joined in the forward line by fringe players Asensio and Mariano. Elsewhere, Sanchez has been called up from the Castilla side and is used in the heart of defence alongside another youngster in Vallejo, while Valverde and Llorente will also make rare appearances.

Melilla subs: Daniel Barrio, Brahim Romero, Antonio Otegui, Brian Martin, Sofian Chakla, Igor Martinez, Jose Fernandez

MELILLA (4-4-2): Pedro Luis; Jose Lopez, Mohamed Mahanan (c), Ricardo Martinez, Jilmar Torres; Juan Ruano, Jordi Ortega, Juan Carlos Dominguez, Mizzian Salmi; Oscar Garcia, Yacine Qasmi

Madrid subs: Alvaro Fidalgo, Lucas Vazquez, Raphael Varane, Cristo Gonzalez, Kiko Casilla, Francisco Garcia, Dani Ceballos

MADRID XI (4-3-3): Keylor Navas; Alvaro Odriozola, Jesus Vallejo, Javi Sanchez, Dani Carvajal; Federico Valverde, Marcos Llorente, Isco (c); Marco Asensio, Mariano, Vinicius Junior

A couple of goals in both halves got Santiago Solari off to a winning start as Madrid caretaker boss, and the former midfielder has since gone on to land the high-profile position on a permanent basis. This will be his eighth game in charge, with six of those previous matches ending in victory – the exception being a 3-0 loss at Eibar 12 days ago. Melilla, meanwhile, have won five matches on the spin ahead of this daunting trip to the home of the European champions.
