Saturday’s frantic Premier League schedule comes to an end at the King Power Stadium.
Leicester City host Tottenham in an unfamiliar evening kick-off and 888Sport make the Foxes 14/5 (3.80) outsiders to win the game.
Spurs eased to a 3-1 victory over Southampton at Wembley last time out and they’re Evens (2.0) to make it back-to-back top-flight victories at a ground where they won 6-1 back in May 2017.
The visitors are yet to draw a Premier League game this season but it’s 5/2 (3.50) that this one ends all square.
The best angle to take here is backing Tottenham to be ahead by half time. At 31/20 (2.65) this allows punters to take advantage of Leicester’s trend of slow starts under Claude Puel as well as how effective Spurs have been in the opening 45 minutes of matches.
In Tottenham’s last 10 league games they’ve been ahead at the interval in eight of them. The other two came against Manchester City and on a visit to Crystal Palace.
Leicester on the other hand, have failed to score in the first 45 minutes in five of their last six top-flight games. During that run they’ve been behind at half time against Fulham, Brighton and West Ham albeit they took at least a share of the spoils on each occasion.
While the Foxes are on a six-game unbeaten run in the league, the quality of opposition faced during that spell has been lower than Puel’s side will encounter on Saturday evening. Furthermore, they’ve not fared well against elite teams so far this campaign.
In fact, Leicester have played five games against teams who currently sit above them, losing on each occasion. Instead of backing Spurs to win at Evens (2.0) though, siding with the visitors to be ahead at half time looks a better play at 31/20 (2.65) with 888Sport.
Tottenham to be ahead at half-time at 31/20 (2.65) for a 2pt stake with 888Sport
