Chelsea have completed the signing of teenage midfielder Mario Pasalic from Hajduk Split.
The Premier League side reportedly agree a deal with the Croatian outfit in January and the 19-year-old has now sealed the formalities of his switch to Stamford Bridge.
Pasalic has represented Croatia at Under-21 level and was named in his country’s provisional 30-man squad for the FIFA World Cup.
“I am very happy because I am now a Chelsea player,” he told the club’s official website.
“I am very impressed by the training ground and I must thank everybody at Hajduk. This is now a new start in my career.
“I am a central midfielder, my favourite player is Frank Lampard, and so I am very happy to be a Chelsea player.”
Pasalic, who was born in Germany, scored 11 times in 37 appearances in all competitions for Hajduk last season.
